• "The Law Cafe" Drops First Script Reading Stills + Gives Brief Characters Descriptions

KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Law Cafe' has been confirmed for its first broadcast on August 29th. At the same time, the script reading scene, where the main actors who will lead the play, such as Lee Seung Gi, Lee Se Young, Kim Nam Hee, and Jo Han Chul, were gathered, was released.

The drama is based on the popular web novel of the same name, in the story of Kim Jeong Ho (Lee Seung Gi), a former prosecutor, Hanryang 'God Mulju', and Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young), a tenant of a 4D lawyer.

First of all, Lee Seung Gi takes on the role of Kim Jeong Ho, a former prosecutor who was called a monster genius, and Kim Yu Ri and 17-year acquaintance. Lee Seung Gi exuded a chameleon charm that crosses sharp reason and warm innocence, announcing the return of a master melodrama.

Lee Se Young takes on the role of Kim Yu Ri, a fourth-dimensional lawyer who can't stand the sight of injustice with her outstanding beauty and a tenant who opens a 'The Law Cafe' on the first floor of Kim Jeong Ho's building.

Lee Se Young, who proved her solid acting skills in the drama 'The Red Sleeve' last year, perfectly portrayed the character with her plump personality and loveliness.

Kim Nam Hee, who has imprinted his presence with tvN's 'Mr. Sunshine' and Netflix's 'Sweet Home', is Kim Jeong Ho's cousin and psychiatrist Park Woo Jin.

Kim Seul Gi takes on the role of Han Se Yeon, the leader and police officer of Kim Jeong Ho and Kim Yu Ri's best friend group 'Seoyeon High School Quadruple', and Oh Dong Min takes on the role of Do Jin Gi, an Italian restaurant chef in charge of nun and humor in 'Seoyeon High School Quadruple'. The two couples in the play boasted extraordinary acting skills.

The production team said, "It will give you the fun of a close-up romance with a 17-year-old who knows how to 'love according to the law'." We ask for a lot of anticipation and interest in the show."

'The Law Cafe' will premiere on August 29th at 9:50PM.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
