Actress Son Ye Jin brought laughter with a playful comment about her son, revealing how he reacts to having two award-winning actors as parents.
On November 3, Son Ye Jin and her husband, Hyun Bin, attended the handprinting ceremony for the 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul.
The couple made history at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards last year when Hyun Bin won Best Actor for Harbin and Son Ye Jin received Best Actress for No Other Choice.
They became the first married acting couple to win the Best Actor and Best Actress awards at the same ceremony.
During the press conference following the handprinting event, the couple was asked about their son's reaction to their historic achievement.
Hyun Bin explained that their son was unable to watch the awards ceremony because it was held late at night.
"It was too late that day, so our son couldn't watch us receive the awards. He congratulated us the next day," Hyun Bin shared.
Son Ye Jin then made everyone laugh with her lighthearted response about their son's attitude toward his famous parents.
"Right now, he doesn't really take his mom and dad seriously, but as time goes by, won't he start looking up to us?" she joked.
Her playful remark showed that despite their success in the entertainment industry, the couple experiences ordinary parenting moments at home.
Son Ye Jin has also previously spoken proudly about their son's appearance.
During an appearance on JTBC's Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, she jokingly suggested that with his looks, it might be difficult for him not to become an actor in the future.
For now, however, their son appears more interested in simply being a child than in his parents' celebrity status.
