BTS Jungkook makes Spotify history as 'GOLDEN' becomes first Asian album to hit 1 billion streams for 4 straight years

BTS member Jungkook has achieved another major milestone on Spotify as his debut solo album, "GOLDEN", reportedly became the first album by an Asian artist to record more than 1 billion streams in four consecutive calendar years.

According to World Music Awards (WMA), *GOLDEN* surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams each year from 2023 through 2026, setting a new record among albums by Asian solo artists and groups.

The achievement comes as the album celebrates its third anniversary on November 3, 2026.

World Music Awards highlighted the milestone through its official social media account, declaring, *“Jungkook has made history.”*

With this achievement, *GOLDEN* surpassed the previous three-year record held by BTS's album *MAP OF THE SOUL : 7*, according to WMA.

The album's reported annual Spotify streaming figures include:

- **2023:** 2.203 billion streams
- **2024:** 2.768 billion streams
- **2025:** 1.607 billion streams
- **2026:** Over 1 billion streams so far

The continued streaming performance has also pushed *GOLDEN* past 7.58 billion total streams on Spotify.

According to the report, it became the fastest full-length album by an Asian artist to reach that cumulative streaming milestone.

Beyond its streaming achievements, *GOLDEN* has maintained a long presence on Spotify's global album rankings.

The album debuted at No. 2 on Spotify's Weekly Top Albums Global chart and remained in the top five for five consecutive weeks. It also spent six consecutive weeks in the top 10.

As of the latest reported figures, *GOLDEN* has appeared on the chart for 155 weeks, which the report identifies as the longest run for an album by an Asian solo artist.

Jungkook's solo album also achieved notable results on major international album charts.

On the US Billboard 200, *GOLDEN* spent 25 weeks on the chart, becoming the first album by an Asian solo artist to reach that mark, according to the report.

In the United Kingdom, the album spent eight weeks on the Official Albums Chart Top 100, another reported first for a K-pop solo artist.

Originally released on November 3, 2023, *GOLDEN* marked Jungkook's first full-length solo album.

Three years after its release, the album continues to attract listeners worldwide, with its latest Spotify milestone highlighting the lasting popularity of Jungkook's solo music.

With more than 7.58 billion cumulative Spotify streams and four consecutive years exceeding 1 billion streams annually, *GOLDEN* has added another reported record to Jungkook's growing list of achievements as a solo artist.
