BTS member V captured the attention of Brazilian fans after shouting a popular Portuguese football chant during the group's *BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'* concert in São Paulo.
BTS performed at MorumBIS Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil, on October 28, 30, and 31, drawing enthusiastic crowds as part of their world tour.
During the concerts, V showed his appreciation for local fans by preparing special moments inspired by Brazilian culture.
One of the highlights came during his closing remarks, when he surprised the audience with a familiar Brazilian cheer.
*“Thank you for spending tonight with us so passionately. There's something I want to do. Shall we try it?”* V told the crowd.
He then shouted in Portuguese:
*“Eu sou brasileiro, com muito orgulho, com muito amor!”*
The phrase means *“I am Brazilian, with great pride and lots of love!”*
The chant is widely used by Brazilian football fans and at other events to express national pride and affection for their country.
According to Billboard Brazil, concertgoers enthusiastically joined V in shouting the familiar words, creating a memorable moment between the singer and the audience.
The Brazilian publication also responded with a playful comment about how naturally V embraced the local culture.
*“We might as well give V a CPF now,”* Billboard Brazil joked, referring to Brazil's individual taxpayer identification number.
V also attracted attention for recreating a goal celebration associated with Brazilian national football player Lucas Paquetá during the concert.
His efforts to connect with the audience through football references and Portuguese expressions became a talking point among local fans and media.
Meanwhile, Brazilian football star Neymar also showed his interest in BTS.
On November 1, Neymar shared several photos on Instagram showing himself attending a BTS concert with his family, accompanied by the caption *“BTS.”*
