Actor Kim Jae Won shared behind-the-scenes details about his kiss scene with Cho Yi Hyun in their upcoming movie Final Interview, revealing that the romantic moment became more intense than originally planned.

On November 3, Kim Jae Won sat down for an interview in Seoul ahead of the film's November 4 release, where he discussed his chemistry with Cho Yi Hyun and their romantic scenes.

In Final Interview, Kim Jae Won plays Han Jin Woo, an idealistic job applicant, while Cho Yi Hyun portrays Moon Hye In, a calm and observant character. The two develop a romantic connection despite the movie's main focus on mystery and suspense.

Kim Jae Won explained that he and Cho Yi Hyun were careful not to let their characters' romance overshadow the story.

“Since our movie isn't a romance film, we tried to make sure the romantic elements didn't become the main focus,” he shared.

However, the actor revealed that their kiss scene changed during filming after the director suggested expressing stronger emotions.

“At first, it was supposed to be a light kiss, just a simple peck. But on set, the director said that wasn't enough and asked for physical affection that showed deeper emotions,” Kim Jae Won explained.

“I think the scene became a little more intense while we were filming,” he added.

Kim Jae Won also joked about the height difference between him and Cho Yi Hyun. Standing at 187 cm, the actor said he had to adjust his posture to make their kiss scene look more natural.

“I think the two-shot of our kiss scene turned out better than expected. Cho Yi Hyun probably had more neck pain than I did. I even had to spread my legs and lower myself,” he said with a laugh.

Beyond their romantic scenes, Kim Jae Won praised Cho Yi Hyun for making the filming process comfortable and enjoyable.

He explained that they communicated well and were able to discuss their performances openly, helping them build natural chemistry on screen.

The actor even expressed his wish to reunite with Cho Yi Hyun in a project that focuses more on romance.

“While we're still young, I'd like to work with Cho Yi Hyun again in a traditional romance or romantic comedy,” he shared.

“It was easy to communicate and discuss things with her. I felt that I wanted to work with her again. We had great chemistry,” he added.

Meanwhile, Final Interview is a mystery thriller about six job applicants who become suspicious of one another after discovering mysterious envelopes containing personal revelations.

The movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 4.
