Girls' Generation member Yuri has revealed that she is no longer under SM Entertainment and shared an exciting update about the group's comeback preparations.
On the October 30 episode of MBC's variety show *I Live Alone*, Kian84 visited Jeju Island, where he met Yuri at a café and talked about her daily life, career, and future plans.
During their conversation, Kian84 asked Yuri what she had been doing while living on Jeju Island.
*"What do you even do here?"* he asked.
Yuri casually replied that she spends her time at home and enjoys drawing.
When Kian84 wondered whether she was always alone, Yuri jokingly corrected him.
*"I have plenty of friends around here, so please don't look at me like I'm completely lonely and pitiful,"* she said.
The conversation then turned to Girls' Generation when Yuri mentioned that she had recently traveled away from Jeju to attend a group meeting.
*"I went there briefly a couple of days ago because we had a Girls' Generation meeting,"* she explained.
Surprised by the unexpected update, Kian84 immediately asked, *"Girls' Generation? Is Girls' Generation making a comeback?"*
Yuri confirmed that comeback preparations were underway, raising anticipation for the group's future activities. However, she did not reveal a specific release date or further details.
Another interesting moment came when Kian84 asked whether Yuri was still signed to SM Entertainment.
*"No, I've left. I'm completely free now. I'm a free agent,"* Yuri revealed.
Kian84 then jokingly asked, *"So does that mean nobody wants to sign you?"*
Yuri quickly responded, *"What are you talking about?"* drawing laughter with her reaction.
She then playfully added, *"My phone has been ringing nonstop with calls,"* suggesting that she has been receiving interest following her departure from the agency.
The conversation offered a glimpse into Yuri's life after leaving SM Entertainment, as she enjoys a more relaxed routine on Jeju Island while considering her next career moves.
Meanwhile, her confirmation that Girls' Generation is preparing for a comeback has added to fans' anticipation, although an official schedule has yet to be shared.
