The supporting doctors of SBS's Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia are gaining attention for their chemistry with Kim Ji Won's character, Gye Soo Jung.
The medical noir follows Gye Soo Jung, a brilliant surgeon who refuses to compromise as she confronts corruption inside Guseo University Hospital. As the story develops, five doctors around her are becoming an important part of the drama's lighter and more entertaining moments.
Jo Won Jin, played by Lee Jin Hee, and Kim Sung Jin, played by Heo Joon Seok, have already become part of "Team Gye Soo Jung" alongside intern Park Tae Kyung, played by Kim Woo Seok.
The two characters help balance Gye Soo Jung's exceptional surgical skills but difficult personality with Park Tae Kyung's inexperienced approach to hospital life.

Jo Won Jin becomes a dependable partner inside the operating room and supports Gye Soo Jung when she challenges problems within the hospital. Kim Sung Jin, meanwhile, uses his relaxed and humorous personality to gradually break through her emotional walls.
Their different personalities have helped create the distinctive chemistry of "Team Gye Soo Jung."
Another group attracting attention includes Do Yoon Sik, played by Kim Young Min, Bae Heung Gon, played by Lee Sung Wook, and Ma Sung Gyu, played by Kwon Seung Woo.
The three doctors originally stood on the opposite side of Gye Soo Jung as part of the hospital establishment and regularly tried to challenge her. However, her overwhelming surgical ability and determination have gradually changed their attitude toward her.
Their attempts to compete with Gye Soo Jung while slowly becoming impressed by her have created several humorous moments in the drama.
Kim Ji Won also spoke about her enjoyable chemistry with the supporting cast in an official commentary video.
She shared, "I have the most clashes with Sung Wook, who plays Heung Gon. His reactions are so funny, so I had a lot of fun throughout filming."
With Jo Won Jin and Kim Sung Jin firmly supporting her and the other three doctors slowly warming to her character, the five supporting doctors are adding another layer of chemistry around Kim Ji Won's surgeon.
Their changing relationships with Gye Soo Jung have become one of the entertaining elements of Doctor X, giving viewers more to watch beyond the drama's intense medical conflicts.
