Actor Jo In Sung has achieved a rare milestone at the **47th Blue Dragon Film Awards**, earning nominations for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in the same year.
The actor received a Best Actor nomination for his performance in director Na Hong Jin's film *Hope*, while his role in director Lee Chang Dong's *Possible Love* earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination.
Being nominated in both acting categories in the same year is an unusual achievement, highlighting Jo In Sung's ability to portray completely different characters.
In *Hope*, which was released in July, Jo In Sung plays Seong Gi, a young man who takes on various jobs in a village near the Demilitarized Zone.
The film follows a mysterious incident that begins when local residents report seeing a tiger. As the situation becomes increasingly unpredictable, Jo In Sung's character takes an active role in confronting the mystery.
His energetic performance and challenging horseback riding action scenes became notable highlights of the film, helping him secure a nomination in the leading actor category.
Meanwhile, Jo In Sung showed a different side of his acting in *Possible Love*, which was released in theaters on September 23.
Directed by Lee Chang Dong, the film follows two married couples from different backgrounds whose lives become connected through a documentary project.
Jo In Sung portrays Sang Woo, the husband of documentary director Ye Ji, played by Jo Yeo Jeong.
Unlike his bold and action-driven character in *Hope*, Sang Woo appears friendly and considerate on the surface but also has a complicated personality that creates tension throughout the story.
The contrast between the two performances has brought Jo In Sung recognition in both the leading and supporting actor categories.
*Possible Love* is also scheduled to premiere on Netflix on November 6, allowing more viewers to see his performance.
With two nominations at this year's Blue Dragon Film Awards, attention is now on whether Jo In Sung can take home both trophies and add another major achievement to his acting career.
The **47th Blue Dragon Film Awards will take place on November 25 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul**, with the ceremony scheduled to air live on KBS 2TV.
