Actress Jin Ki Joo shared that she has been receiving increased attention and new casting offers following the response to her recent project Teach You A Lesson.
On the August 25 episode of SBS variety show Whenever Possible, Jin Ki Joo appeared as a guest alongside Cha Tae Hyun and met hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok.
During the episode, Cha Tae Hyun spoke proudly about Jin Ki Joo, who became the first actress signed to the agency he established with Jo In Sung.
Jin Ki Joo joined the company shortly before Teach You A Lesson began attracting attention, leading Cha Tae Hyun to jokingly credit the timing.
He said with a laugh, “We were really lucky.”
Yoo Jae Suk quickly teased his longtime friend, joking that Cha Tae Hyun tends to receive good results compared with the amount of effort he appears to put in.
The conversation later turned to Jin Ki Joo’s growing popularity following Teach You A Lesson. She revealed that many people congratulated her after the project was released and said she has since been receiving offers from different productions.
Her recent success also became a running joke during the variety show. Yoo Jae Suk playfully told Cha Tae Hyun that he might need to receive some “Teach You A Lesson” from Jin Ki Joo, referencing the title of her project.
Later, when Jin Ki Joo became Yoo Jae Suk’s opponent during a game, he jokingly asked, “Ki Joo, you’re not trying to give me some ‘Teach You A Lesson,’ are you?”
Jin Ki Joo’s comments suggest that the attention surrounding Teach You A Lesson has opened new opportunities for the actress soon after she joined Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung’s agency, marking a positive start to the next stage of her career.
