SHINee member Key has shared a personal conversation with his close friend Kany, who revealed how the singer supported her during a difficult time involving agency problems and unpaid earnings.

On October 21, Kany uploaded a video titled Kany's Full-Course Birthday Meal on her YouTube channel, It's Kany, featuring a birthday celebration with Key.

The two spent time cooking and eating together while talking about their friendship, past struggles, and their lives today.

During their conversation, Kany recalled a particularly difficult period in her career when she was receiving public attention but facing problems behind the scenes.

"When people started liking me, it was actually the hardest time for me," she shared.

She explained that she was still unfamiliar with the Korean broadcasting industry and was preparing to change agencies because of problems with her management.

At the time, she also had not received the payments she was owed.

Despite those challenges, Kany said Key stepped in to support her without being asked.

"I didn't even ask you to help me first, but when I called you, you said, 'I'll take care of everything,'" she recalled.

She continued, "You stayed by my side during the hardest time of my life. I'm so grateful."

Her words revealed how much Key's support meant to her while she was dealing with uncertainty about her career.

Key responded by explaining that he had felt a personal responsibility toward Kany because he had helped introduce her to the broadcasting industry.

"I felt a sense of responsibility deep down," he said.

"I was the one who brought you into broadcasting. I didn't know you would become this successful, though."

However, Key emphasized that their friendship was not one-sided.

He told Kany that she had also helped him simply by staying close to him.

"You did a lot for me too. You stayed by my side as a friend. That was all I needed."

When Kany asked what he intended to do next, the singer gave an unexpectedly simple answer.

"I don't have any plans. I'm just going to keep editing videos," he said.

"I'm really enjoying it. I really needed this year," he shared.

He also reflected on how unfamiliar it feels to have an open schedule after spending so many years working.

"I've worked really hard, so people keep asking me what my plans are for next week. Every time, I tell them, 'I don't know either,'" he said.

"I've never answered a question like that in my entire life."

In his apology, Key acknowledged that he had not been sufficiently careful and said he would take time to reflect.
