A scene involving actress Ahn Eun Jin in KBS 2TV's drama A Love Other Than Yours has sparked discussion among viewers after her character used a threat involving sexual harassment during a heated confrontation.

The scene aired on October 18, with some viewers questioning whether the dialogue was appropriate, while others pointed to the fictional situation and the character's intentions.

In the episode, lawyer Han Tae Seung, played by Lee Joo An, becomes involved in an argument with a fellow lawyer at Jaegang Law Firm.

The confrontation begins when his colleague criticizes his professional behavior, accusing him of relying on questionable practices to maintain his career.

The colleague tells him, "Stop damaging the dignity of lawyers. Stop surviving through drinking entertainment and lobbying. Honestly, I'm ashamed to be the same kind of lawyer as you."

Han Tae Seung responds by defending himself and pointing out the differences in their backgrounds.

"The real shame is losing a case. Unlike you, I don't have parents who are judges or prosecutors, so I have to do whatever it takes to avoid losing," he says.

The argument becomes more intense when the colleague makes another provocative remark about Han Tae Seung's past.

At that moment, Lee Mi Do, played by Ahn Eun Jin, steps between the two men to stop the confrontation.

However, her character's choice of words becomes the center of the controversy.

Lee Mi Do warns the colleague, "In one minute, I'm going to sexually harass you. If you don't leave right now, I'll pull down your pants and humiliate you here, no matter what."

She continues, "If I really put my mind to it, stripping someone like you down to your underwear would be easy. I'm serious. I'm strong."

Although the dialogue was delivered by a fictional character attempting to protect Han Tae Seung and stop the argument, the scene prompted mixed reactions after it aired.

According to Korean media reports, some viewers criticized the use of sexual harassment and forced undressing as threats, arguing that such language should be handled carefully in television dramas.

Their concern centered on whether threatening sexual humiliation should be presented as an effective or satisfying way to confront another person, even in a fictional scene.

Some also questioned whether the script and direction had sufficiently considered the sensitivity of the dialogue, particularly because the drama airs on public broadcaster KBS.

However, another interpretation focused on the context of the scene.

The character was attempting to stop an aggressive confrontation, and her extreme words were presented as a threat intended to make the other person back down.

From this perspective, the dialogue does not necessarily mean that the drama or its production team supports the behavior described by the character.

The discussion highlights how viewers can interpret the same scene differently depending on whether they focus on the character's intentions or the language used.

While the scene was written as part of a fictional confrontation, some viewers considered the wording uncomfortable regardless of its intended purpose.

A Love Other Than Yours is a romantic melodrama that follows a couple approaching their tenth year together as they experience unfamiliar emotions within a long-term relationship.

With Ahn Eun Jin's character now attracting attention for the controversial dialogue, the discussion has raised broader questions about how sensitive subjects are presented in television dramas.

The debate remains centered on the appropriateness of the fictional dialogue rather than any real-life statement or behavior by Ahn Eun Jin.
