Jung Hae In shared his honest thoughts about playing a devoted man with no dating experience in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy Our Sticky Love.
During the drama’s press conference on August 5, Jung Hae In admitted that portraying the character was not completely easy for him.
He said, “It was difficult for me too.”
The actor explained that he attended all-boys middle and high schools. At the time, he was not yet planning to become an actor, and he entered the military soon after starting university.
Jung Hae In said, “Looking back, I was not someone who had never dated, but I do not think I had that much dating experience either.”
Instead of thinking too deeply about how a man with little romantic experience should behave, he chose to focus on the personal story and emotions of his character, Jang Tae Ha.
He also revealed that the director encouraged him to use parts of his natural personality in the role.
Jung Hae In explained, “The director seemed to notice certain sides of me. He liked the moments when I became awkward or slightly clumsy and told me to act naturally. Because of that, I did not have much difficulty while filming.”
In Our Sticky Love, Jung Hae In plays boxing coach Jang Tae Ha, who claims to be the boyfriend of prosecutor Go Eun Sae, played by Ha Young, after she loses her memory.
The romantic comedy will premiere on Netflix on August 7.
