LE SSERAFIM is drawing attention online after a post claimed that parts of the group’s recent Tokyo Dome concert appeared to have noticeable empty sections, especially on the second floor.
A post shared on Instiz quickly gained traction after one netizen wrote, “The 2nd floor of LE SSERAFIM at Tokyo Dome was empty,” sparking debate over whether the concert was truly sold out and how strong the group’s current demand in Japan really is.
The original poster added that they were surprised by the situation, saying they were such a big fan that they even went all the way to Tokyo Dome, but found it unexpected that there seemed to be visible empty seats.

The post also claimed that “Japanese people dislike HYBE” and referenced how “HYBE is so cautious that they don’t even celebrate the Independence Movement Day,” which added even more controversy to the discussion.
As the post spread, Korean netizens began debating whether the empty-looking sections were actually unsold seats or simply restricted-view areas.
Some pointed out that the venue may have blocked off certain sections, while others questioned why such a large space appeared open if those were only blind seats.
Some netizens commented, “Wow, I looked it up but there were a lot of people on the second floor too,” while others asked, “Did they not open the 2nd floor?” and “Isn’t it because those seats are blind seats?” Another comment pushed back by saying, “But the space is way too wide to all be blind seats.”

The discussion also turned to the group’s reported ticket numbers, with one netizen bringing up claims that LE SSERAFIM filled 80,000 seats across two days, while another responded, “Apparently, it wasn’t sold out.” That quickly led to more debate over whether the group’s Tokyo Dome run was being overpraised.
Some harsher reactions also appeared, with comments like “They should’ve used that place for Bangtan’s concert instead,” “As expected of HYBE,” and “And they were being praised as being the ‘One Top’ in Japan, so what is this?”
At the same time, not everyone agreed with the criticism. Some netizens warned that the issue could be getting exaggerated, with one comment saying, “The Japanese are using this as an opportunity to stoke anti-Korean sentiment, and here we are, going along with it…”
While the exact reason for the empty-looking sections has not been officially confirmed, the viral post has now sparked a wider online debate over venue setup, restricted-view seating, and whether the concert’s attendance matched the strong image the group has built in Japan.
