IU shared a playful moment with her younger brother after hearing his unexpected wish during a recent outing to watch a meteor shower.
On August 26, IU uploaded a new video titled Star, Please Grant My Wish (with bro) to her YouTube channel 이지금 [IU Official]. In the video, IU traveled with her production team to watch shooting stars, with her younger brother later joining her.
As the two lay next to each other and prepared to make wishes, IU asked her brother what he wanted.
He replied, “My wish is to earn more money than you.”
IU immediately responded with a laugh, “Ah, that’s not happening in this lifetime.”
She then joked that there could be a different version of reality where her brother earns more than her.
IU said, “We were just talking about parallel universes. In some world, there might be a Hoon who earns more money than me. There could even be a Hoon who doesn’t call me ‘noona’ and just says, ‘Hey.’”
When IU asked him again to make another wish, her brother reminded her that he had already said what he wanted.
IU jokingly rejected it once more, saying, “You should make a wish that the stars can actually grant. That one won’t work.”
