SEVENTEEN surprises fans with unexpected collaboration with The Smurfs — special “God of Music” video coming soon

Fans are in for a surprise — SEVENTEEN is teaming up with the legendary cartoon characters The Smurfs for a one-of-a-kind collaboration.

On October 28, Pledis Entertainment confirmed that SEVENTEEN has partnered with Peyo Company, the creators of The Smurfs, to release a special SEVENTEEN x Smurfs version of their hit track “God of Music.” The special music video is set to be released in November.

The idea came from a fun coincidence — The Smurfs’ anniversary and SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music” release date both fall on October 23. The project aims to highlight themes of harmony, friendship, and coexistence that both SEVENTEEN and The Smurfs are known for.

Fans are already buzzing after the teaser dropped, which showed 13 mysterious Smurf silhouettes alongside the upbeat melody of “God of Music,” hinting that each SEVENTEEN member will be turned into their own custom Smurf character.

According to Pledis, “This collaboration came from shared values — teamwork, kindness, fun, and cooperation. SEVENTEEN spreads positivity through music, while The Smurfs symbolize happiness and hope.”

Fans can also look forward to special merchandise featuring the SEVENTEEN-inspired Smurfs, combining the group’s charm with the Smurfs’ iconic blue look.

With this, SEVENTEEN continues to prove their global power, following their past collaborations with Sanrio, BE@RBRICK, and China’s TeddyTales.

This marks another creative milestone for SEVENTEEN — and fans can’t wait to see how the Smurf version of “God of Music” will bring their world to life.
