SEVENTEEN has reached another proud milestone as they celebrate their 10th debut anniversary — receiving a Presidential Commendation at the 2025 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards.

On October 23, the award ceremony took place at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul, where SEVENTEEN was officially honored for their outstanding contributions to spreading K-pop and Korean culture worldwide.

Although the group is currently on their North American world tour, members Jeong Han and Won Woo attended the ceremony on behalf of the team. Both are currently serving their mandatory military service and were allowed to attend after coordination with the Military Manpower Administration and related departments.

During their acceptance speech, the two expressed deep gratitude, saying,

“We are especially grateful and honored to receive the Presidential Commendation on our 10th debut anniversary. We thank everyone who has worked hard for the K-pop industry and culture. We will continue to promote K-pop and contribute to the growth of popular culture. We also thank our fans, CARAT, who always support us from the same place.”

The Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards is the highest government recognition for individuals and groups who contribute to the global reach of Korean pop culture.

SEVENTEEN had previously won the Prime Minister’s Commendation in 2020, and five years later, they’ve now been honored with the Presidential Commendation, solidifying their legacy as global K-pop leaders.

From breaking album sales records with “FML” and “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” to performing on the main stage of Glastonbury Festival and headlining Lollapalooza Berlin and Tecate Pa’l Norte, SEVENTEEN continues to make history on global stages.

This recognition adds another meaningful achievement to their 10th anniversary — celebrating not just their music, but also their efforts in representing K-pop with passion, humility, and unity.
