Jinyoung touched hearts as he revealed that Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon was the reason he first dreamed of becoming an idol.
On the September 27 broadcast of tvN’s Amazing Saturday, guests Jeon Yeo Bin, Jinyoung, and Joo Hyun Young joined the cast for a fun episode.
During the show, Boom shared a touching story, saying, “The person who made Jinyoung dream of becoming an idol is here today. Thanks to that, he not only became an idol but also got the chance to pursue acting.”
Jinyoung then confessed that the senior who inspired him was none other than Taeyeon. Hearing this, Key praised Taeyeon and said, “You saved many people,” highlighting her positive influence.
Jinyoung recalled his trainee days, saying, “The song I listened to the most when I was going to auditions was ‘Gee.’ While listening, I thought, ‘How happy would I be if I could become a celebrity?’ She was someone I admired.”
Boom joked, “Now ‘Gee’ is sitting right next to you,” which made everyone laugh. P.O also asked Taeyeon to make an acrostic poem with Jinyoung’s name, and although she seemed shy at first, Taeyeon sweetly said, “Jinyoung-ssi, I will cheer for you. Forever.”
