• IU fooled everyone with a fake driving video — here's why she still doesn’t have a license

IU surprises fans by revealing she still doesn't have a driver's license!

On May 14, IU posted a new video on her official YouTube channel 이지금 (Now) titled “10 Million Subscriber IU's Diamond Button Unboxing.” While celebrating her YouTube milestone, she also dropped a fun confession that left fans stunned.

IU looked back on her most unforgettable moment on YouTube and said, “My favorite video was the April Fool’s prank I did with my dad.”

She explained, “A lot of fans thought I finally got my driver’s license because of that video, but it was all a prank. My dad was actually the one driving, and I was holding a fake steering wheel pretending to drive. We even flipped the video to make it look real—and I even mirrored my beauty mark so fans wouldn’t notice.”

Then came the big confession. IU laughed and said, “Everyone keeps thinking I can drive… but IU still doesn’t have a driver’s license.”

Fans were surprised but amused, leaving comments like, “I kinda guessed it, but still—she fooled us!” and “IU’s prank level is genius.”

Back in March, IU uploaded another prank video titled “IU’s Furious Test Drive” on IU TV, where she pretended to drive a car. Many fans were convinced she had finally gotten her license—until now.

Before ending the video, IU gave a sweet message to her fans: “I’ll be working hard this May, and I think there’s some good news coming for Uaenas. I’ll do my best so I don’t lose this diamond button.”

Even without a license, IU keeps driving fans wild with her charm and humor!
