Actor Park Seo Joon recently opened up about receiving a lot of comments about his appearance, surprising fans.
On December 2, a new video was released on the YouTube channel Director Go Chang Seok. The video shows Park Seo Joon meeting director Go Chang Seok, assistant director Oh Joon, and Heo Jun Seok. The four had previously worked together on the movie Dream.
During the casual conversation, Oh Joon said, “I think he is an actor whose acting is underrated compared to his looks.”
In response, Park Seo Joon paused, then revealed, “I get criticized for my looks the most.”
Oh Joon and Heo Jun Seok reacted in surprise, asking, “Why?” and “You get criticized for your looks?” Director Go Chang Seok also expressed disbelief, saying, “Did I hear that wrong? Seo Joon gets criticized for his looks?”
Park Seo Joon calmly replied, “I don’t pay attention to it,” adding, “It can happen.”
Oh Joon jokingly said, “Some might say he’s not lead-material, and there are all kinds of comments.” Director Go Chang Seok quickly clarified, “Oh Joon, I can’t take responsibility for even these comments.”
When asked about detaching from roles after immersing himself in them, Park Seo Joon said, “I think I go through that process. From the moment I was cast in a project, I feel like I start living it.”
Fans can soon see Park Seo Joon in the lead role of JTBC’s new Saturday–Sunday drama Surely Tomorrow, premiering on the 6th.
