• Park Myung Soo jokes about idol concerts but quickly backpedals—find out what he said about IU and SEVENTEEN

Park Myung Soo quickly corrected himself after making a mistake while discussing idol concerts.

On May 2nd, a new video was released on the Hal Myung Soo YouTube channel. The video featured EXO's Kai as a guest, and during the conversation, Park Myung Soo made an interesting comment about idol concerts.

After hearing Kai’s age, Park Myung Soo joked, “If I had a child at 23, you’d be my age.” Kai, playing along, called him “Dad” but also shared that he felt like Park Myung Soo was more of an older brother to him.

Kai added, “I’m really a 'MuDo Kids.' I watched the whole show and even rewatched it over 200 times. I really like it. You’re like my idol now.”

Park Myung Soo humbly acknowledged Kai's compliment and said, “Your dancing is amazing.” Kai responded, “It’s been 13 years since I debuted. I’ve passed the time to be shy.” Park Myung Soo then joked, “After 10 years, you have to be recognized in this field.”

When Park Myung Soo mentioned that he had been in the entertainment business for 33 years, Kai playfully said, “I thought you wouldn’t last 33 years!” Park Myung Soo also recalled Kai’s appearance on Infinite Challenge with EXO nine years ago, saying, “Back then, you couldn’t even speak.”

Kai responded, “It’s different now. I’ve been in this for 13 years. Back then, I was worried about the future. After 10 years, I realized I need to survive too.”

The conversation shifted to EXO’s upcoming activities when Park Myung Soo asked, “When will EXO’s new song come out?” Kai replied, “It will be soon, and I also have a concert coming up.”

Park Myung Soo, who calls himself a "concert fairy," immediately promised, “I’ll go to yours.”

Then, Park Myung Soo made a comment that caused some laughter. He said, “But when I go to idol concerts, I know about two songs, but I don’t know the others. I liked the concerts of IU and SEVENTEEN.”

Realizing his mistake, Park Myung Soo quickly corrected himself, adding, “But actually, I liked them all. They were all good.”

He continued, “Now that I think about it, there were no bad concerts. DAY6 was good too,” and said, “If you want, send me a text. If I have time, I’ll go.”

When the production team jokingly asked what he would do if an event came up, Park Myung Soo responded without hesitation, “I can’t go,” causing everyone to laugh.

  • Tomorrow X Together (TXT) shock fans by hitting No. 1 in Japan with 'Love Language' while on tour—only K-pop act in top 5

Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is once again showing their global power!

On May 4, BigHit Music announced that TXT’s latest digital single “Love Language” had climbed to No. 1 on Line Music Japan’s ‘Top 100 Songs’ daily chart, just a day after its release.

The song debuted at No. 12 on May 2 and jumped 11 spots to grab the top spot on May 3. Over on Oricon’s ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’, the song also ranked high at No. 2, making TXT the only international artist to rank in the top 5 on both major Japanese charts.

But TXT’s success isn’t just limited to Japan. “Love Language” also topped iTunes ‘Top Songs’ charts in nine countries and regions, including Japan, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Portugal. The track also charted high on the Worldwide iTunes Songs chart, standing proudly alongside songs by global pop giants.

Love Language is a sweet and emotional track that compares love to learning a new language. TXT members express the desire to understand someone they care about, even when it’s not easy to communicate.

The song is especially meaningful because the group dropped it as a surprise gift for fans during their ongoing world tour, ‘ACT : PROMISE’ – EP. 2.

Fans are going wild over the song’s catchy vibes, sharp group choreography, and one unforgettable moment where the members briefly lift their shirts, showing their abs—a performance detail that’s gone viral across fan communities.

TXT is clearly not slowing down, and Love Language is another major step in their rise as a global K-pop powerhouse.
