• Park Eun Bin leaves her innocent image behind with her darkest role ever in 'Hyper Knife'

Park Eun Bin is taking on a shocking transformation as a psychopathic killer in her new Disney+ drama Hyper Knife.

On March 17, the cast and crew of Hyper Knife attended a press conference at Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event featured director Kim Jung Hyun and actors Park Eun Bin, Seol Kyung Gu, Yoon Chan Young, and Park Byung Eun.

The medical thriller follows Jung Se Ok (Park Eun Bin), a former genius doctor who held a bright future, but now finds herself locked in an intense battle with her mentor Choi Deok Hee (Seol Kyung Gu), whom she holds responsible for her downfall.

Speaking about her character, Park Eun Bin revealed, "Hyper Knife was a project where I had no idea how it would turn out or how viewers would react throughout the entire filming process."

This role marks a huge turning point in her 30-year acting career, as it’s her first time playing a villain. She explained, "Se Ok loves the brain and surgery so much that it ultimately destroys her. She has no impulse control and isn’t particularly fearful."

She further described the complexity of her character, saying, "She is largely uncontrollable. In some ways, she is almost childishly simple, making her emotions very transparent. I hope viewers watch closely to see where Se Ok’s actions lead. I can't bring myself to ask for support."

Despite the dark nature of her role, the actress expressed her excitement for the challenge, sharing, "I was intrigued by everything because this was a character and genre I had never attempted before. More than anything, Se Ok undergoes a process of stripping away her facade alongside Deok Hee."

She also spoke highly of her co-star Seol Kyung Gu, saying, "It was my first time working with senior actor Seol Kyung Gu, and every scene we filmed together felt like a dopamine rush. Every moment gave me great stimulation and energy. It was truly an honor."

Hyper Knife is set to release a total of eight episodes, with two episodes dropping weekly starting March 19.

  • Rhymer shares funny story about his screen time beating Kim Woo Bin’s on 'Handsome Guys' and how his parents reacted

Producer Rhymer had a funny and proud moment on TV when he revealed that he got more screen time than actor Kim Woo Bin — and his parents couldn’t be happier.

On the May 1st episode of tvN’s variety show Handsome Guys (episode 21), cast members Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung, and Shin Seung Ho were joined by guest Rhymer, filling in for Oh Sang Wook, who was away for the Fencing Sabre World Cup.

The team took on the challenge of suggesting lunch and dinner menus for hardworking office workers.

This wasn’t Rhymer’s first appearance on the show. He had previously joined a special episode focused on people born in the Year of the Snake, where he stood out with his unique and quirky charm.

During the episode, Cha Tae Hyun brought up how Rhymer’s screen time had felt a bit short the last time he appeared.

But Lee Yi Kyung jumped in, saying, “It seemed like you were on a lot,” and Rhymer agreed, adding a proud moment from home.

He said, “It ended up being longer than I expected. My parents even said, ‘You were on longer than Kim Woo Bin,’ and they were really happy about it.”

Rhymer’s lighthearted story had everyone laughing, showing how even the smallest moments on screen can be a big deal for proud parents.
