IU showed her continued friendship with Byeon Woo Seok by sending a support truck to the set of his upcoming Netflix series Solo Leveling.
On September 9, Byeon Woo Seok shared photos on his personal social media showing the snack truck he received from IU while filming the highly anticipated adaptation.
IU added playful messages using Byeon Woo Seok’s name and his Solo Leveling character, Sung Jin Woo. One message read, “Byeon Woo Seok, elegance level, master’s degree,” while another joked, “Sung Jin Woo, seriously elegant.”
The lighthearted gift drew attention to the friendship the two actors developed while working together on MBC’s Perfect Crown, which ended earlier this year.
The drama previously faced criticism over historical details shown in some scenes, leading members of the production team and cast to publicly apologize. The controversy, however, was unrelated to IU’s latest show of support for Byeon Woo Seok.
Byeon Woo Seok is currently filming Netflix’s Solo Leveling, based on the popular web novel of the same name. He stars as Sung Jin Woo, an initially low ranked hunter whose life changes after a powerful awakening.
The upcoming series also stars Han So Hee, Kang You Seok, and Kang Mina.
IU’s thoughtful support truck has now given fans another glimpse of her lasting friendship with Byeon Woo Seok as he moves forward with one of his biggest upcoming projects.
