• 'The Glory' Actress Son Ji Na Reveals Why She Doesn't Dye Her Hair: "I Embrace My Natural White Hair"

Son Ji Na, known for playing Yeon Jin's mother in The Glory, shared why she chooses not to dye her hair on the latest episode of KBS JOY’s Ask Anything.

On November 18, Son Ji Na (54) and actor Ji Dae Han (56) appeared on the show, where they expressed their concerns about only getting villain roles in their acting careers.

Ji Dae Han began by sharing his struggles, saying, "I've been in films for about 30 years. I've played everything from minor roles to supporting characters, but I’ve never been cast in a good guy role. I’ve been the corrupt cop, not the nice one. "

She added, "We’re not really that bad, though. I’ve been told I have a kind face. I’m great at comedy and even want to try romance roles, but no one offers them to me. Do I have to keep playing gangsters with this face?"

During the conversation, host Lee Soo Geun commented on Son Ji Na’s role as Yeon Jin’s mother in The Glory, saying, "You came across as very strong in that role, but in person, you’re so gentle."

Son Ji Na was then asked by fellow host Seo Jang Hoon whether she dyes her hair, to which she replied, “It’s natural hair.” She explained her decision not to dye it, saying, “I’ve dyed my hair when needed, but my skin is sensitive, and it becomes irritated when I do. My scalp gets sore and itchy for a month, so I decided to embrace my white hair instead.”

Later in the episode, Ji Dae Han mentioned that since no one would cast him in a romance role, he decided to produce his own film. He promoted the film Howchi, where he starred alongside Son Ji Na in a romance role. The movie was released on November 13.

Fans of Son Ji Na and Ji Dae Han are excited to see them take on new roles, including the romance genre they’ve long desired!

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
