Seo Kang Joon’s character shocked viewers by turning a breakup into a surprise marriage proposal in KBS 2TV’s A Love Other Than Yours.
The second episode, which aired on September 13, showed Nam Goong Ho (Seo Kang Joon) and Lee Mi Do (Ahn Eun Jin) struggling to move on after ending their relationship. Despite their breakup, the two characters still showed signs that their feelings for each other had not completely disappeared.
After finding an old love letter while organizing their belongings, Goong Ho became emotional as memories of their relationship returned. Although he tried to accept their separation, he continued to worry about Mi Do and even visited her home to help fix her broken door lock.
Mi Do also showed that she still cared for Goong Ho. When someone criticized him, she defended him, proving that their feelings remained despite their decision to part ways.
The two later faced the reality of their changed relationship when they participated as a “business couple” in a couples event. Although they still understood each other’s habits and memories from their 10 years together, the result of a heart rate challenge made them question whether the excitement they once felt was still there.
However, Goong Ho realized that their long history and connection were not something that could easily disappear. After seeing Mi Do struggle emotionally, he chose to hold onto their relationship.
Goong Ho delivered an unexpected confession, saying, “Even if the ending becomes a mess, I want to go with you.” He then proposed marriage to Mi Do, changing their relationship from former lovers to a possible future couple once again.
The episode ended with new questions about whether Goong Ho and Mi Do can overcome their complicated emotions and find their way back to each other.
