• Actress Kim Min Ju Opens Up About Her Family-Like Connection with IZ*ONE Members

Actress Kim Min Ju shared her deep love for her project group IZ*ONE in a recent interview.

On November 1, she sat down with Star News at a café in Seoul, just days before her film Hear Me: Our Summer is set to release on November 6.

During the chat, Kim Min Ju highlighted her strong connection with her IZ*ONE members. She said, “IZONE is like family to me. The time I spent with them is very precious and has given me a lot of strength. They were my first friends in the real world, and we shared several years of our lives together, so they are truly important to me.”

Kim Min Ju revealed that she loves to spend her free time with her former group members. “Whenever I have a day off, I usually hang out with them,” she explained.

“We have a group chat where our leader, Kwon Eunbi, often asks, ‘What time is it for beef today?’ We meet up whenever we can, and it feels like a casual get-together with friends.”

She added, “We talk about what we are all working on and feel closer than anyone else. When we meet, we catch up and heal through our conversations. I also watch movies with members who are trying acting, just like me, and we share our thoughts about them.”

Kim Min Ju is excited about her film Hear Me: Our Summer, which tells the story of Yong-Joon (played by Hong Kyung) who is searching for love, and Yeo-Reum (played by Roh Yoon Seo), who learns about her true feelings, with her younger sibling Ga-Eul (played by Kim Min Ju) supporting them.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
