• Goo Hye Sun Opens Up About Her Desire to Be Number One: "Why I Want to Be Number One?"

Actress Goo Hye Sun recently shared her thoughts on wanting to be number one in everything. On the 24th, she appeared on the KBS 2TV variety show Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together, where she talked with Kim Mi Ryeo, Park Won-sook, and Hye Eun-hee about their personal concerns.

During the show, Kim Mi Ryeo expressed her worries, saying, "I have some realistic concerns. Since I have children, if I don't have work, it really affects me, even when I eat." She added, "If I were alone, I could just call a friend and ask for help. But with kids, it’s more complicated. I feel responsible for my family."

Hye Eun-hee responded by saying, "Thinking 'I have to be the one' can be very dangerous." Kim Mi Ryeo agreed, saying, "It's driving me crazy. I have so many thoughts like that."

Meanwhile, Goo Hye Sun explained, "Actually, I need to aim for being number one to even get close to that level." She added, "If I set my goals too low, I end up giving up. I have to declare that I want to be number one to reach my goals."

Park Won-sook then shared her concern for Goo Hye Sun, saying, "You wouldn't realize this without going through some pain. It feels like being hit by the Emile Bell over and over."

She continued, "I can't speak about financial struggles, but I have faced the pain of losing a child. There were times I felt I wasn't a good actress, mother, daughter, or neighbor. I cried for days, feeling like a failure. But that pain helped me break out of my shell. Since then, I’ve found happiness and gratitude every day."

She sincerely advised Goo Hye Sun and Kim Mi Ryeo, saying, "I hope you both can find happiness and comfort instead of just aiming for number one or a doctorate. I say this because I see you both as daughters."

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
