• BTS Jungkook’s Support for NewJeans Causes Tension Among HYBE Employees: "What about those who are guilty?"

BTS member Jungkook recently showed his support for NewJeans, which has led to some tension among HYBE employees.

On September 14, Jungkook shared a photo of his dog, “Jeonbam,” on Instagram with the caption, “Artists are not guilty.” He added emoticons in various colors to show his support for NewJeans.

After Jungkook’s post, the anonymous HYBE employee community Blind was buzzing with activity.

One HYBE worker shared Jungkook’s post and wrote, “I feel even more bitter. What have we been working for?”

Other employees voiced their concerns as well. Comments included: “It looks like the company is really going to split apart,” “Why this artist? It feels like a sign the company is collapsing,” “It’s true that artists are not guilty, but what about those who are guilty? What are they doing now?” “It seems like they want to ruin everything,” and “We’re just reminded that we, as regular employees, don’t matter.”

There were mixed reactions. Some employees wondered if Jungkook’s post was aimed at former CEO Min Hee Jin, while others felt it was more about criticizing HYBE.

Some were disappointed, saying, “Are we listening to the most controversial person?” and “Look at how this is being interpreted and causing more controversy. What’s the point?”

As discussions heated up both inside and outside HYBE, the company took action. Jungkook later posted on Instagram, “Don’t use them.”

HYBE’s label Big Hit Music responded, saying Jungkook’s post was meant to show that young artists should not be dragged into disputes or used as a shield.

Meanwhile, posts criticizing NewJeans and attacking former CEO Min Hee Jin and Shin Woo Seok, who is linked to the Dolphin Kidnapping Group, have been spreading on Blind, upsetting NewJeans fans.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
