• "Is She Ignoring Japanese Fans?" MEOVV’s Narin Sparks Mixed Reactions with Recent Comments on Liberation Day

MEOVV's Narin is making waves with her latest comments, and not everyone is pleased.

In a recent interview, Narin shared her thoughts on her favorite season, revealing, "I think every season has its own special charm! Still, I like summer the most! Maybe it's because my birthday is in the summer? My birthday is on August 15th! It’s also Liberation Day! So, it’s always really hot on my birthday."

Narin's mention of Liberation Day and the Taegeukgi (Korean flag) in her personal teaser has raised eyebrows. She continued, "Speaking of Liberation Day, it reminded me that there’s also a Taegeukgi in my personal teaser! Did you know? In my personal teaser, there’s a Taegeukgi in a classroom-like setting, and the concept of that place is 'outdoor classroom.' It’s a fresh concept, so it stands out in my memory."

While Narin's enthusiasm for her birthday and the Taegeukgi is clear, some fans are questioning whether these references might be a misstep, particularly with her Japanese fans.

    Comments are mixed:

    "Freaking likable."

    "She's likeable."

"Freaking likable, let me support her now."

"Who cares about Japanese fans ㅋㅋ? Anyways, Narin is freaking likable."

"I don't know much about MEOVV but she's freaking likable."

    "Time to listen to MEOVV."

"Aside from whether this is a hit or miss statement or not, the fact that she confidently talks like that when they have a Japanese member in the team is quite fascinating. Looks like she doesn't really mind things like that."

    "Freaking likable, MEOVV fighting!!!"

"Why is she not allowed to mention Liberation Day? We were freed from Japan and this was our birthday. Narin fighting."

"Nowadays I can't help but wonder if those are tactics to go viral.. But I find the members likable, so I guess they achieved their goal ㅋㅋㅋ."

Narin's candidness is certainly turning heads and sparking conversations. Whether this will boost MEOVV's visibility or stir up more controversy remains to be seen. Stay tuned!

    1. Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
