On the latest episode of tvN’s variety show Handsome Guys, Dex once again showed his cool and witty side — this time, by hilariously avoiding a drinking trap from fellow cast member Lee Yi Kyung!
The June 12 episode (Episode 27) featured a fun food tour in the Achasan area of Seoul, with cast members Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung, Shin Seung Ho, and Oh Sang Wook. Guest star Dex joined in as they explored tasty lunch and dinner spots for office workers.
During the segment, the “eel team” — made up of Lee Yi Kyung, Dex, and Shin Seung Ho — sat down for some grilled eel paired with soju. But when Dex took only a small sip of soju and set his glass down, Lee Yi Kyung playfully teased him, saying, “Do you have something scheduled tomorrow?” — a classic way of nudging someone to drink more.
Dex didn’t back down. Instead of giving in, he pretended to drink — then boldly poured the soju on his own shoulder, shocking everyone in the funniest way possible.
Sitting across from them, Cha Tae Hyun burst into laughter and said, “So this is how you deal with an old-school drink pusher — just pour it out!”
Lee Yi Kyung continued to jokingly offer more drinks, keeping up the playful peer pressure act. But Dex had a plan.
He suddenly shouted “Black Knight!” — a Korean slang term for someone who drinks in place of another — and made a deal with Oh Sang Wook: “Drink this for me and I’ll give you some eel.” Oh Sang Wook happily agreed and got both the drink and the food.
Dex laughed and said, “He’s happy, he’s happy, and I’m happy too!” — making everyone at the table laugh out loud.
Fans loved the way Dex handled the situation, proving once again why he's one of the most entertaining personalities on screen right now.
