• "LOL, those people" — Fans defend Kim Min Ju from netizen who said she gained too much weight

Kim Min Ju recently faced unwarranted body-shaming comments from a hater, but netizens quickly stepped in to support her.

On January 13th, a post surfaced on a popular online community, claiming that Kim Min Ju had gained weight.

The post included pictures from her fan sign event held on the same day.

Despite the negativity, Kim Min Ju is set to grace the big screen in the movie 'Hear Me: Our Summer,' a remake of the 2009 original.

In response to the body-shaming post, netizens defended Kim Min Ju with comments like:

"Weight gain? Where? lol, Having wide hips doesn't mean she's fat. Seriously."

"It's probably just her wide hips, and Thom Browne's clothes often fit that way."

"This post is clearly just trolling. It follows the same pattern every time."

"I looked it up online and found similar posts in different communities with the same title and pictures. Is this negative viral marketing?"

"Her face looks the same. It's probably the pants' shape."

"She attended year-end award shows recently, so she couldn't have gained weight so quickly."

"Netizens, please share how you're insecure about yourselves a bit louder!"

"The issue seems to be with the outfit."

"She looks fine, but the entire outfit doesn't fit right, making her look strange."

"It's just the unflattering fit of the clothes and a bad angle. Nothing more."

"It's literally just a bad angle."

"She looks healthy. Haters need to focus on themselves."

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
