Along with the popularity of "Problematic Guys," the new term "brain sexy men" gained traction, and "brain sexy men" was registered as a new word by the National Institute of Korean Language at the time.

Members of the first season included Jeon Hyun Moo, Kim Ji Seok, Ha Seok Jin, Lee Jang Won, Tyler, and RM, and the group Block B Park Kyung took over after RM pulled out. Joo Woo Jae, a model and actor, and Dotty (Na Hee Sun), a creative, joined the cast in the third season.

"Problematic Men" grew in popularity, but the show was cancelled on February 13, 2020, as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak spread.
