BTS member Jimin's father has announced plans to close his well-known café in Busan after seven years of operation, sharing a heartfelt message with visitors who have supported the business over the years.
On November 2, ZM-ILLENNIAL, a café operated by Jimin's father in Nam District, Busan, announced through its official social media account that it plans to close in one year.
The café shared the news with a message expressing gratitude to its customers and longtime supporters.
*“As of today, we have 365 days left to spend with you,”* the announcement stated.
The café also thanked everyone who had visited and continued supporting the business.
*“We sincerely thank everyone who has visited us, cherished this place, and shown us constant interest and love over the years,”* the message continued.
The announcement also acknowledged visitors who had traveled long distances to experience the café.
*“The footsteps of those who came from far away, their warm greetings, and their sincere support have been a great source of happiness and precious memories for us,”* the café shared.
Rather than focusing only on the upcoming closure, the café expressed hope that its remaining year would be filled with meaningful experiences.
*“We hope these 365 days will not simply be a countdown, but a precious time to create even more happiness and memories together,”* the statement added.
The café first opened in 2019 under the name MAGNATE. After becoming known as a business operated by Jimin's father, it attracted BTS fans from South Korea and overseas.
Over the years, the café became a popular destination for ARMYs visiting Busan, particularly because of its connection to Jimin.
Inside, visitors could find BTS- and Jimin-related artwork, memorabilia, and gifts sent by fans.
In August 2024, the café changed its name from MAGNATE to ZM-ILLENNIAL.
The announcement marks the planned end of a seven-year journey for the café, which has welcomed fans and visitors from around the world since opening.
Although the café has confirmed its intention to close after another year, the announcement did not provide a specific reason for the decision.
For now, ZM-ILLENNIAL plans to continue welcoming visitors during its remaining 365 days, giving longtime supporters another opportunity to visit before the planned closure.
