Lee Jong Suk reveals 'I Can Hear Your Voice' cast still meets after 13 years and shares his special role in their reunions

Actor Lee Jong Suk has revealed that the cast and production team of the hit K-drama I Can Hear Your Voice have maintained their close friendship for 13 years, continuing to hold reunions long after the series ended.

On November 3, Lee Jong Suk appeared on episode 162 of the YouTube variety show Salon Drip, where he talked about his lasting relationship with the people he worked with on the 2013 SBS drama.

During the conversation, host Jang Do Yeon asked whether Lee Jong Suk still kept in touch with director Jo Soo Won, who previously directed him in I Can Hear Your Voice and Pinocchio. The two also reunited for the Disney+ series The Remarried Empress.

Lee Jong Suk explained that they remain close through an annual gathering with the I Can Hear Your Voice team.

“We have an 'I Can Hear Your Voice' gathering once a year,” he shared.

The actor then revealed that Lee Bo Young usually takes the lead in organizing their reunions, while he handles the restaurant reservations.

“When Lee Bo Young tells me to set a date and book a restaurant, I search through blogs and make the reservation. I check the location, the route, and even the parking situation,” he explained.

After completing the arrangements, Lee Jong Suk simply reports back to the group.

“Then I tell them, 'I've booked the restaurant,'” he said.

He also revealed that their next reunion was scheduled for the following day, November 4.

According to Lee Jong Suk, he has continued taking responsibility for restaurant reservations because he was the youngest among the main cast members.

When Jang Do Yeon asked who usually attends the gatherings, the actor named Lee Bo Young, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Kim Kwang Gyu, along with director Jo Soo Won and screenwriter Park Hye Ryun.

Lee Jong Suk expressed his appreciation for the friendship they have maintained over the years, noting how unusual it is for a drama team to continue meeting regularly for such a long time.

“I don't think I have another gathering that has lasted as long as 'I Can Hear Your Voice.' It's been about 13 years,” he shared.

Originally aired in 2013, I Can Hear Your Voice starred Lee Jong Suk, Lee Bo Young, and Yoon Sang Hyun and became one of the actor's memorable early dramas.

More than a decade later, the cast and production team's continued reunions show that their friendship has lasted well beyond their time working together on the series.
