Actor Park Bo Gum has successfully earned his national hairstylist certification after passing the exam on his second attempt, adding another professional qualification to his achievements.

On October 23, tvN announced that Park Bo Gum had officially passed South Korea's national technical qualification exam for general hairstyling. The achievement comes after he previously obtained a barber certification during his military service.

With both qualifications, Park Bo Gum is now preparing to return as the owner of a hair salon in the second season of tvN's variety show Bogum Magical 2.

His latest achievement is particularly meaningful because he did not pass the hairstylist exam on his first attempt.

During the first season of Bogum Magical, Park Bo Gum showed his determination to earn the qualification. Despite his busy schedule, he regularly practiced hairstyling techniques, including perms, while preparing for the national examination.

However, his first attempt ended unsuccessfully.

Rather than giving up, the actor continued practicing and eventually passed on his second try.

The achievement has attracted attention because the national hairstylist certification exam reportedly has an average pass rate of around 20% to 30%, making it a challenging qualification to obtain.

Park Bo Gum's success highlights his continued interest in hairstyling and his willingness to learn professional skills beyond acting.

Meanwhile, tvN released a new teaser for Bogum Magical 2 on October 23, showing Park Bo Gum returning to work at a hair salon in a small seaside village.

The upcoming season will follow Park Bo Gum as he operates the salon and meets local residents, offering hairstyling services while sharing conversations with customers.

Actor Lee Sang Yi, who appeared alongside Park Bo Gum in the first season, will return, while Go Kyung Pyo joins as a new cast member.

With his newly earned hairstylist certification and existing barber qualification, Park Bo Gum will return to the show with more professional skills and experience.

Bogum Magical 2 is scheduled to premiere in November on tvN.
