Go Kyung Pyo has opened up about the difficult side of running businesses, revealing that his restaurant failed while his production company has spent more than three years trying to bring its films to theaters.
The actor shared the story during the October 10 episode of the YouTube series *Pinggyego* while talking with BIBI about business.
After BIBI mentioned that she once dreamed of starting a trading business, Go Kyung Pyo gave her some direct advice.
He told her, *“I’m saying this because I’m worried about you. Now that you have some money, don’t start a business.”*
Yoo Jae Suk laughed and explained that Go Kyung Pyo was speaking from experience because he had already tried several businesses.
Go Kyung Pyo then admitted, *“I ran a restaurant and I also run a production company. The restaurant failed badly, and I’m still working hard and using my earnings to keep the production company going.”*
He encouraged BIBI to save and manage her money instead, adding, *“When you have money, save it well. Invest it wisely. Don’t do anything else. Remember that.”*
Go Kyung Pyo also revealed that he has been operating his production company for more than three years, but getting its projects into theaters has been difficult.
He explained, *“We have two projects that became feature films, but they still haven’t been released in theaters.”*
He then made a lighthearted but sincere appeal to distributors, saying, *“Even if these movie genres aren’t exactly your taste, please put them in theaters for the development of Korean cinema.”*
Song Eun Yi sympathized with his situation, noting that securing theaters and proper distribution is an important part of getting a film seen by audiences.
Go Kyung Pyo’s comments offered a candid look at his experiences outside acting, from a restaurant that did not work out to spending more than three years supporting a production company whose completed feature films are still waiting for theatrical release.
