Kim Yoo Jung’s highly anticipated new drama 100 Days of Deception is off to a strong start, taking first place in its time slot with its very first episode.
According to Nielsen Korea, the tvN weekend drama premiered on October 10 with an average nationwide rating of 5.3%, reaching a peak of 7.2%.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, the first episode recorded an average of 5.4% and peaked at 6.9%.
The results placed 100 Days of Deception at No. 1 in its time slot across cable and general programming channels, giving the major tvN production a promising opening.
The drama had already attracted attention before its premiere due to its cast and creative team. Kim Yoo Jung and Park Jinyoung lead the series alongside Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Moo Saeng, and Jin Seon Kyu.
Director Yoo In Shik, known for the hit *Dr. Romantic* series, is working with writer Ryu Bo Ri, whose previous credits include *Do You Like Brahms?*.
Set in 1932 Gyeongseong, 100 Days of Deception centers on several characters with different goals and identities whose paths become connected. The premiere introduced the key players and established the tense historical setting without wasting time on a lengthy setup.
Kim Yoo Jung plays Lee Ga Kyung, a skilled pickpocket with a talent for acting and deception, while Park Jinyoung takes on the role of Sato Hideo, also known as Kim Tae Woong.
Rather than revealing too much about the opening episode, the premiere quickly brings its main characters together and sets up the larger conflict that will drive the story.
With a 5.3% nationwide debut, a peak of 7.2%, and a No. 1 finish in its time slot, 100 Days of Deception has delivered a solid first result for one of tvN’s most anticipated dramas.
