Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub is continuing its strong box office run after setting a new opening record for a Korean R-rated crime entertainment film.

The fourth and final installment of the long-running Tazza franchise opened on September 23 and attracted 103,362 moviegoers on its first day.

The figure marked the biggest opening for an R-rated Korean crime entertainment film in 525 days, surpassing the 85,659 admissions recorded by Yadang.

Despite its adults-only rating, Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub continued gaining momentum after its release. The film climbed to No. 1 at the overall box office on its sixth day and surpassed 1 million admissions on its eighth day.

It is now continuing its run toward the 2 million admissions mark.

Audience response has also remained strong. The movie currently holds a 93% CGV Golden Egg score, the highest among films released around the same period. It is also reportedly the second-highest audience satisfaction score among the four Tazza films.

The latest installment stars Byun Yo Han and Noh Jae Won at the center of a story involving friendship, rivalry, revenge, and a high-stakes gambling world. Japanese actress Ayaka Miyoshi also plays a major role in the film.

Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub arrives 20 years after the original Tazza became a major Korean box office hit in 2006. The franchise later continued with Tazza: The Hidden Card in 2014 and Tazza: One Eyed Jack in 2019.

With a record R-rated opening, a climb to No. 1 at the box office, and more than 1 million admissions within eight days, Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub is maintaining solid momentum as it moves closer to the 2 million viewer milestone.
