Koo Kyo Hwan’s upcoming film Reawaken Man: The Red is showing early momentum before officially arriving in theaters.
As of September 28, two days before its September 30 release, the movie ranked No. 1 in advance ticket reservations among Korean films opening during the same period.
The pre-release ranking gives Reawaken Man: The Red a strong start before audiences have even had the chance to see it in theaters.
The film follows Seok Hwan, played by Koo Kyo Hwan, an unemployed job seeker who discovers that he comes back to life 72 hours after dying. He soon becomes the target of a mysterious pursuit, setting up the film’s action-driven story.
Rather than relying on early box office admissions, the latest milestone is based specifically on advance ticket reservations, making the No. 1 ranking a measure of audience interest ahead of release.
The movie will also be available in special theater formats including SCREENX, 4DX, and MX4D.
With Reawaken Man: The Red already leading reservations among Korean movies scheduled for the same release period, attention is now on whether that early interest will carry over when the film opens nationwide on September 30.
