Ji Chang Wook has revealed that he once created a private social media account just to post photos of expensive purchases, but eventually deleted it for a surprisingly simple reason.
On September 17, Ji Chang Wook appeared alongside Son Ye Jin and Nana on Netflix Korea’s YouTube variety content Hongbohareo On Geon Matneunde, where he was asked about having a secondary social media account.
Ji Chang Wook explained that after spending more time on social media, he sometimes felt like showing off things he had bought.
He said, “Sometimes I buy expensive things or nice things too. People usually post those kinds of things, but putting them on my official account felt a little too much.”
Instead, the actor decided to create a private account that only he could see.
He shared, “I wanted to show off my flex on social media, so I made a private account and posted everything there by myself.”
According to Ji Chang Wook, he uploaded photos of things such as cars, steering wheels, watches, and other luxury purchases.
He added, “If I bought a car, I would post a photo of the car and the steering wheel. I would also take pictures of watches and upload them to the private account, and I was satisfied just looking at them myself.”
However, keeping the account completely private eventually made the experience less entertaining.
Ji Chang Wook explained, “It’s more fun when someone actually sees it. Since nobody was looking, it stopped being fun, so I deleted it.”
His story drew laughs for the contrast between wanting to share his expensive purchases and creating an account where no one else could actually see them.
