BTS’s Jimin became one of the biggest talking points from the group’s latest Los Angeles concerts, earning praise from local media while football star Son Heung Min also caught fans’ attention from the audience.
BTS performed at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1 and 2, where Jimin drew attention for his stage presence and long blonde hair.
In its review of the concert, the Los Angeles Times reportedly singled out Jimin as “the night’s standout.” Clips and photos of his performances also spread widely across social media, with his name trending in several countries.
Among those attending the concert was Maggie Kang, the Korean Canadian director behind KPop Demon Hunters. She shared footage of Jimin performing Aliens on the venue’s large screen. Billboard News host Tetris Kelly also posted a video of Jimin performing on stage.
Another familiar face spotted in the crowd was Son Heung Min, who currently plays for Los Angeles FC. Son was seen making his well-known camera celebration, posing as if taking a photograph.
The moment attracted attention among fans because the gesture reminded some viewers of a similar pose Jimin previously used during performances of his solo track Filter.
Jimin and Son Heung Min have also drawn attention for their mutual connection in the past. Jimin previously performed while wearing a jersey featuring Son’s number 7, with the shirt later reportedly selling at auction for 110,000 USD.
With Jimin receiving praise from local media and Son Heung Min enjoying the show from the audience, the Los Angeles concerts created another memorable crossover between two of South Korea’s most internationally recognized stars.
BTS is scheduled to return to the same venue for two more performances on September 5 and 6.
