Rookie boy group CORTIS has landed the No. 1 spot on TikTok Korea’s Songs of the Summer 2026 chart with their song REDRED.

TikTok announced its annual summer music rankings based on songs that generated strong activity through user-created videos, challenges, memes, and other trends on the platform.

Along with topping the Korean chart, CORTIS was selected as a representative artist for the “K-Pop Summer” category of TikTok’s global Songs of the Summer, Vol. 2026 campaign. The group was also named the “Boy Group That Lit Up the Summer” at TikTok Summer Honors 2026.

CORTIS shared their excitement over the achievement, saying, “It is very meaningful and exciting that ‘REDRED’ was selected as TikTok’s Song of the Summer.”

The group added, “Watching TikTok users around the world discover our song through the community and enjoy it in their own creative ways was also a special experience.”

TikTok’s Korean summer chart reflected a wide range of listening trends. Recent K-pop releases such as ILLIT’s It’s Me and PLAVE’s HMPH! gained attention, while older songs including iKON’s LOVE SCENARIO returned to the spotlight through new challenges and viral content.

International tracks also gained momentum in Korea through TikTok trends, showing how memes and short-form challenges continue to bring both new and older songs to wider audiences.

On the global chart, Katy Perry’s 2011 song The One That Got Away ranked No. 1 after experiencing a major TikTok revival. According to TikTok, the song was used in more than 42 million videos during the summer, while its renewed popularity also contributed to new chart activity and increased streaming numbers.

For CORTIS, however, REDRED became one of the standout K-pop songs of the season, giving the rookie group another major achievement just over a year after their debut on August 18, 2025.

The group has continued building attention through releases including REDRED, GO!, and FaSHioN, with TikTok playing a major role in spreading their music through challenges and fan-created content.
