BLACKPINK’s Jennie is receiving stronger legal protection from her agency as OA Entertainment moves forward with action against malicious online content involving the singer.
On August 18, OA Entertainment announced that it is pursuing both civil and criminal legal measures over posts that allegedly spread false information, damage Jennie’s reputation, violate her privacy, or maliciously edit and manipulate her photos and videos.
The agency explained that it has continued monitoring social media platforms and online communities while working with professional legal representatives to collect evidence involving posts and accounts that may seriously violate Jennie’s rights.
OA Entertainment specifically pointed to content that alters Jennie’s physical appearance, repeatedly circulates selected portions of photos or videos, or combines images with allegedly false information or insulting statements.
The company made its position clear, stating that “there will be no leniency or settlements” as it proceeds with its legal response.
The latest announcement comes amid increased attention surrounding photos and videos of Jennie being shared online.
Clips connected to her recent Summer Sonic 2026 performances also became the subject of online discussion, including debate over whether certain circulating footage had been edited or manipulated.
However, the authenticity of disputed footage has not been independently established, and OA Entertainment did not publicly identify one specific video as the sole reason for its latest legal action.
Rather than limiting its warning to one incident, the agency described a broader effort to address false information, malicious editing, privacy violations, and other content that it believes infringes on Jennie’s rights.
OA Entertainment also encouraged fans who encounter potentially harmful posts to submit relevant information. The agency said fan reports are being reviewed alongside its own monitoring as it continues collecting evidence and responding to serious cases.
