TXT’s Yeonjun is gaining attention for expanding his solo presence in the United States, with several of his recent activities drawing comparisons to BTS member Jungkook’s earlier promotions.
Yeonjun recently completed U.S. promotions for his second mini album, NO LABELS: PART 02, appearing across television, live events, and major sports venues.
One of his biggest appearances came through ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series. Yeonjun became the second K-pop solo artist to perform as part of the series following Jungkook, who appeared in 2023.
Yeonjun also headlined Billboard’s Billboard: One Night Only at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The venue carries additional significance for BigHit Music artists, as BTS previously held one of their early U.S. performances there in 2014.
His U.S. schedule continued with an appearance at Z100’s Summer Bash Presented By Wells Fargo, where he was introduced as the first Korean artist invited to the event.
Yeonjun later visited Dodger Stadium for Korean Heritage Night, taking part in a special performance and ceremonial first pitch. His schedule allowed him to meet audiences in settings ranging from an intimate music venue to a major baseball stadium.
The series of activities has led to comparisons with Jungkook’s solo promotion strategy. Jungkook previously appeared on the Summer Concert Series before performing at major events including the Global Citizen Festival and holding a surprise performance at TSX Entertainment in New York’s Times Square.
However, Yeonjun has continued to emphasize his own musical identity through his vocals, performance style, choreography, and personality rather than simply following the same formula.
Meanwhile, TXT is scheduled to perform at the Global Citizen Festival at New York’s Central Park on September 26. The group is set to be the only Korean act in this year’s announced lineup.
