Heo Sung Tae praised Jung Hae In after working with him in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy thriller Our Sticky Love.

The series follows amnesiac prosecutor Go Eun Sae, played by Ha Young, and boxing coach Jang Tae Ha, played by Jung Hae In, who insists that he is her boyfriend. Their unusual living situation develops into a romance while a dangerous mystery unfolds around them.

Heo Sung Tae plays Baek Sang Gil, the head of an organization connected to Jang Tae Ha’s past. He now presents himself as the respectable leader of Mirae Eden Company, but continues hiding a cold and determined personality behind his polite smile.

Explaining why he joined the series, Heo Sung Tae said, “I am confident that this drama has many different charms, including humanity, emotional moments, a quiet but lively romance, intense noir elements, and major twists.”

He added, “It is a project where viewers can become deeply interested in the different characters and the actors’ performances. I felt that it was the right time for me to play a villain again.”

The actor said he was also excited to work with Jung Hae In and Ha Young, whom he had wanted to meet through a project.

Heo Sung Tae described Baek Sang Gil as a cruel but complicated villain and explained that he focused on showing the difference between the character’s public image and his true nature.

He shared, “I tried to keep his relaxed attitude while expressing his cruel nature in a dry and intense way.”

He also had warm words for Jung Hae In, saying, “The expression ‘gentle on the outside but strong inside’ suits him well. Jung Hae In is a wonderful real man who has both flexibility as an actor and the strength of his character.”

He continued, “He was very considerate during filming and always had an open attitude. We enjoyed working together and tried to make each scene more entertaining.”

According to Heo Sung Tae, the drama will combine relatable everyday moments with growing tension as Jang Tae Ha, Go Eun Sae, and Baek Sang Gil become more closely connected.

He said, “As viewers follow the relationships and stories of the characters, they will be able to enjoy the small pleasures of daily life. The scenes involving Jang Tae Ha, Go Eun Sae, and Baek Sang Gil will also increase the tension.”

The 12-episode series Our Sticky Love will premiere worldwide on Netflix on August 7.
