J.Y. Park is set to reveal JYP Entertainment’s organic company cafeteria, which reportedly costs about 2 billion won each year to operate.
The cafeteria will be featured on the August 1 episode of MBC’s The Manager. According to the program, the company spends around 220 million won annually on organic kimchi alone.
J.Y. Park explained that he decided to create the cafeteria after seeing trainees rely on convenience store food for their meals.
He said, “I made it while thinking that my own children would be eating there.”
JYP Entertainment is also preparing to move into a new headquarters. The company reportedly plans to make the new kitchen three times larger than the current one and add a system for preparing packed meals.
The goal is to allow employees and artists to eat healthier food even when they are working outside the office.
J.Y. Park is also said to take a personal interest in the health of his staff. When one team member experienced a health concern, he reportedly sent a long message offering advice based on his studies of nutrition and the human body.
The episode will also show J.Y. Park working as a singer while filming content for his new song WET. He recently revealed that he reached a body fat percentage of 9.2 percent while preparing for the release.
The production team said viewers will be able to see a different side of J.Y. Park as he focuses on his work as a performer rather than his executive roles.
