Park Jin Young showed his affectionate side as a father by introducing his two daughters and sharing his playful dream of creating a girl group with the daughters of Rain and Kim Tae Hee.
On the July 25 episode of MBC’s variety show Point of Omniscient Interfere, Park Jin Young invited viewers into his daily life and revealed moments with his two daughters, who were born one year apart.
During breakfast, his daughters came to see him, and Park Jin Young immediately welcomed them by kneeling down to greet them. He explained, "I wanted our whole bodies to touch, but I have to kneel down for that to happen."
The singer and producer continued to show his caring personality as he asked his daughters, "Did you sleep well?" and "Did you eat?"
His manager described him as a devoted father, saying, "He is a true daughter lover and a romantic person. He often shows us photos and videos while proudly talking about his daughters." The broadcast also showed Park Jin Young spending time with his daughters, including dancing together.
Park Jin Young also revealed the emotional story behind a song he wrote after his first daughter was born.
When Yang Se Hyung mentioned that he heard Park Jin Young even made a song on the day his daughter was born, the singer explained, "When she was born, I held her in my arms, and she grabbed my hand tightly and wouldn’t let go. That’s why I wrote the song 'The Hand That Held Tightly.'"
He added, "I still haven’t been able to play it for her. I haven’t written the second song yet, but fortunately, I was able to finish it recently. I will let her hear it when I release the song."
During the conversation, Hong Hyun Hee asked if Park Jin Young had plans to make his daughters members of a girl group. He responded, "Of course."
He then mentioned the possibility of involving Rain’s daughters, saying, "Ji Hoon (Rain) has two daughters, so all four of them are growing up well. We have talked about it. Boom also asked if his daughter could join."
When asked what he would do if his daughters chose another entertainment company instead of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young said he would respect their decision but also shared confidence in his company’s training system.
"I would have to respect their choice, but our company has a strength in carefully teaching and managing things like health and meals in a positive way," he said.
Meanwhile, Park Jin Young married a non celebrity nine years younger than him in 2013. The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2019 and their second daughter in 2020.
