MAMAMOO's Wheein has drawn attention after an emotional livestream in which she admitted missing the group's most active years and wishing she could experience those moments again.

On October 27, clips from a Weverse livestream held in September began circulating across Korean online communities, bringing renewed attention to Wheein's honest reflections on her career.

During the broadcast, Wheein was casually eating and talking with fans when she began discussing the emotions she experiences while performing on tour.

She shared, "I get really emotional during tours. I find myself thinking about things I never considered in my early to mid-20s. I often wish I could go back to the time when MAMAMOO was at its peak."

However, Wheein also admitted that the group's busiest years were not always happy or easy.

"Honestly, there were times when I really hated it because everything was so exhausting. People need time to rest to appreciate what they have, but when you're constantly busy, you sometimes don't realize how precious those moments are," she explained.

Looking back, Wheein said she now understands that the difficult years were also filled with meaningful experiences.

She continued, "When I think about it now, it was hard, but it was also fun. I think I miss those days when we were promoting so actively. But if someone told me to go back and do everything again, I wonder whether I could actually handle it."

The singer then revealed a personal habit that has become an emotional reminder of MAMAMOO's past.

"When I drink alone, I sometimes play old MAMAMOO videos. I guess that's what I do when I'm drinking. I watch them and end up crying by myself," she admitted, becoming tearful.

Wheein also recalled advice she received from comedian Kim Shin Young during a particularly difficult period in her career.

She explained that she had once told Kim Shin Young that she wanted to quit because of how exhausted she felt.

According to Wheein, Kim Shin Young responded, "Even if you want to quit now, there will definitely come a day when you miss these moments."

Wheein admitted that she could not understand those words at the time but now realizes what Kim Shin Young meant.

"Back then, I honestly didn't understand. She told me I would definitely miss those days, and now I really feel the truth of what she said," she shared.

After clips of the livestream circulated online, reactions were mixed.

Some online commenters questioned Wheein's remarks because she chose not to renew her individual contract with RBW in 2021. Others discussed the emotional difficulties of balancing demanding group schedules with personal well-being.

However, Wheein's decision to leave the agency did not mean she had left MAMAMOO.

The group, consisting of Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa, debuted in 2014. Wheein departed RBW in 2021, followed by Hwasa in 2023, while the members continued pursuing individual careers.

Despite working under different agencies, the four members have maintained their connection as MAMAMOO.

The group reunited for their 2026 world tour, MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR [4WARD], marking a return to group activities after several years of focusing on solo projects.

Following a performance in Tokyo on October 25, MAMAMOO is scheduled to conclude the tour with concerts in Taipei on November 28 and 29.

Wheein's emotional reflections have brought attention to the pressure of being an idol during a group's busiest years, as well as the memories that remain meaningful long after those moments have passed.
