LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE are seeing a strong global response with their collaboration single “ICONIC BY MISTAKE.”
According to the latest Billboard chart dated June 27, released on June 23, “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” entered the US Billboard “Hot 100” at No. 38. This is reportedly the highest ranking for a K pop girl group song on the chart this year. The song also reached No. 22 on the UK Official “Singles Top 100.”
What makes the result more notable is that “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” was released only as a digital single, without a physical album. Since the Billboard “Hot 100” counts streaming, downloads, physical sales, and radio airplay, the ranking shows strong support from both fans and general listeners.

The song also performed well on global charts. It ranked No. 25 on Billboard’s “Global 200” and No. 22 on “Global 200 Excl. US.” It also placed No. 25 on Spotify’s “Weekly Top Songs Global” for June 12 to 18 and entered Spotify charts in 46 countries and regions across Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.
The collaboration is gaining attention for bringing together three HYBE girl groups with different styles. The music video, which was released one day before the song, topped YouTube’s worldwide trending and popular music charts. After the song’s release, its message, visuals, sisterhood theme, and performance continued to spread through social media.
The “M Countdown” performance also received attention online, especially for the styling, choreography, and powerful final chorus where the three teams performed together.

The project also showed cooperation between HYBE’s labels. BELIFT LAB handled the performance, Source Music handled the visual creative work, and HYBE Geffen Records handled A&R, while HYBE Music Group supported the overall strategy and operations.
The collaboration also helped increase fan interest across the three teams. Their Weverse community subscribers reportedly rose by a combined 12.7 percent compared to before the single’s release, while users who joined all three communities increased by 5.23 percent.
A HYBE representative said, “All indicators, including cover dance videos, challenge reels, UGC, and early music streaming trends, are surpassing all previous numbers for the individual teams.” They added, “This was prepared as a gift like project to expand the boundaries between artists and labels and bring joy to fans around the world. We are thankful that it also led to good results. Please continue to support all three teams.”
