BTS member Jimin became one of the biggest topics online after showing a new look during the first day of the group’s Las Vegas concert.
On May 23 local time, BTS held the first day of their “BTS World Tour in Las Vegas” at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. During the show, Jimin caught the attention of around 65,000 fans with his strong stage presence and eye catching visuals.
Jimin, who had already been gaining attention for his long blond hair, surprised fans by appearing with braided hair. The look quickly became a hot topic online, and his fancam videos passed over 1 million views on social media. Soon after, “JIMIN BRAIDS” started trending.
The attention did not stop there. As soon as the concert began, “JIMINS” rose to No. 1 on real time trends on X in the United States. He also ranked high in the music, dance, and celebrity categories, showing his strong popularity among fans.
Jimin also impressed the audience during the “Body to Body” free dance stage. He showed a two turn spin and smooth groove, making fans cheer even louder during the performance.
Outside the concert venue, American fans also prepared a special ad truck for Jimin. The truck, covered with Jimin’s advertisement on three sides, drove around Las Vegas and near Allegiant Stadium. Fans shared photos and videos of the truck online, making it another popular topic on social media.
BTS’s Las Vegas concerts will continue at Allegiant Stadium for four days, from May 23 to 24 and May 27 to 28 local time.
