Park Ji Hoon’s new drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is continuing its strong rise in ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 3 of TVING and tvN’s Monday Tuesday drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” recorded an average nationwide rating of 7.187% among paid platform households.

The drama has been growing steadily since its premiere. Episode 1 started with 5.847%, episode 2 rose to 6.247%, and episode 3 successfully passed the 7% mark.

With this, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” has once again reached its highest rating so far.

The steady increase appears to show that the drama’s comic fantasy style is gaining attention through word of mouth.

Since its first episode, viewers have been responding to its unusual mix of military life, cooking, and fantasy elements.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” follows Private Kang Sung Jae, played by Park Ji Hoon, as he grows into a “legendary cook soldier.” Instead of a gun, he holds a kitchen knife, and instead of an ammunition belt, he wears an apron.

The drama also gained attention before its premiere as Park Ji Hoon’s next project after he made a strong impression as Dan Jong in the hit film “The Man Who Lived With The King,” which drew 16 million moviegoers.
